Mary Eileen McDonnell (born April 28 1952) is an American stage actor and TV actor. She has received the Academy Award nod for the role she performed in Dances with Wolves, as Stands With A Fist. In addition to this role, McDonnell is well known for her role as Laura Roslin (President of Battlestar Galactica) who is the spouse of President in Independence Day as well as her main role in Donnie Doom as his mom.
