Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding (born Elena Jane Goulding born on December 30, 1986, in Hereford, England) is an English singer-songwriter. Ellie Goulding, a British musician and singer who gained fame in the year 2010 when her smash singles Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed attracted the attention of the public. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. With her distinctive soprano voice and knack for composing engaging, but emotionally honest songs, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap is at the top of contemporary mainstream music and an independent, artistic pop.Goulding soon graduated from blogs to print media, receiving recognition from major publications such as The Guardian and fielding offers from record companies.
