Niykee who's had many a hectic few years which included being selected by Snoop to sing with Snoop at The YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee has a regular songwriting routine despite this. The singer-songwriter is attracted to Niykee, who constantly checks out the latest beats. A lot of them inspire song ideas. "I'll be able tell within 5 seconds whether it's a great beat. When I've got a melody in my brain and I begin to write immediately." The words come to me while I'm sitting on my patio, playing my guitar. Usually it takes less than thirty minutes. Niykee is continuing to improve her abilities as a poet and lyricist. She notes how her experiences of suffering in the past is a constant source of unique inspiration. My experience of pain as a child in my youth and that of losing my sibling are still reflected in my songs, even if they're not literal. It shapes my songs and creates a deeper significance behind everything that is among the most significant things to me--I need to know that I could listen to any one of my songs in 20 years later and be happy with what I had to say.
